The TOMAS DONCKER BAND'S "HOWLIN' WOLF" E.P.!! This E.P. features 4 classic Howlin' Wolf tunes (3 written by the legendary Willie Dixon) and 2 original compositions; one written by Super Blues harp master David Barnes, and "Shook Down" written by Pulitzer prize-winning poet Yusef Komunyakaa and Tomas Doncker.

Producer, Singer, Songwriter & Guitarist Tomas Doncker has been a mainstay on the New York music scene for over twenty years. He cut his teeth hanging out downtown in the fertile punk-funk explosion of the 1980s. Quickly, he found himself among the ranks of New York's groundbreakinuch groug musical elite and in sps as: James Chance & The Contortions, James White & The Blacks, Defunkt, Latin-groove-meisters Konk and New York's absolute 1st hip hop group, J. Walter Negro & The Loose Joints (featuring Grammy-nominated pianist Arturo O'Farrill).
Tomas has amassed performance and recording credits with a diverse List of musical luminaries including: Bootsy Collins, Ivan Neville, Yoko Ono, Amp Fiddler, Bonnie Raitt, folk-pop-diva Morley, Japanese saxophonist Sadao Watanabe, Grammy winner Prince Charles Alexander's City Beat Band & spoken word / hip-hop pioneers Sonya Sanchez & Toni Blackman.
Tomas released "Inside Out" in 2008, which features players Danny Sadownick, Booker King and Etienne Lytle. The album was produced by Tomas with Hollins Steele co-producing at The Steele Factory.
In 2009, he released two highly anticipated CD¡¯s The Mercy Suite and Small World. The Mercy Suite is a collection of new songs with Pulitzer-prize winning poet Yussef Komonyaka, which features performances by some of contemporary music's most ground breaking artist such as Meshell Ndegeocello, Chocolate Genius, Morley, Marvin Sewell, Karma Johnson, Brandon Ross, Booker King, Daniel Sadownick and Corey Glover. Small World, features guest appearances by Martha Redbone, Karen Bernod, Audrey Martell, Keith Fluitt, KUKU, Ayib Dieng and Karma Johnson.

From Ethiopia to Brooklyn:SummerStage Presents the World Premiere Theatrical Performance of Tom¨¢s Doncker¡¯s ¡°Power of the Trinity;¡± Actors, Musicians, Dancers Bring High Energy, Global Soul to Story, Message of Haile Selassie.
The Tomas Doncker Band performed 4 sets on the Americas Square stage at the World Expo Shanghai, China.
In describing his signature sound, "What we like to do is fuse soulful sounds, rhythms and melodies to create a fresh vibe I like to call 'Global Soul'," said Tomas.
As part of Tomas¡¯s ongoing humanitarian efforts, Small World was used to help promote the Solar Cooker Project which helps to empower the women and children of Darfur.
With such a high profile on the global music stage, Tomas was selected to perform at the American Pavilion at the World EXPO 2010 Shanghai in September as part of his "Small World" tour.
Tomas noted, "To be selected by the Chinese Ministry Of Cultural Affairs to represent the U.S. at the first New Folk Music Festival, and now to receive an invitation to perform at the American Pavilion, are opportunities we are so grateful for. It is an honor and a privilege for us to be musical/cultural ambassadors at the Shanghai World Expo this year."
Tomas and his band performed at Shanghai's Century Square, marking the opening of the first International New Folk Music Festival, which was followed by a full concert in Shanghai Center Theatre. Tomas also performed multiple sets at the American Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo site.
