  • Guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, Peter Mayer has been quietly and steadily building a fervent following across the country, stepping outside his role as one of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefers (for over 25 years) to front his own band, The Peter Mayer Group. Melding a unique and eclectic writing style, a distinctive voice, and virtuoso musicianship, Peter and his band create compelling and accessible music that is electrifying in live performance. The Peter Mayer Group boasts between them an extensive performing and songwriting portfolio with experience in any number of styles from jazz to country rock to classical. Recording under the name PM, Peter released his debut album for Warner Brothers Records in 1988.
  • Discography: 13 Album releases between 1988 and 2009. Latest : Goodbye Hello
  • Both Peter and Mac McAnally are playing their JZH-1x on this summer tour of 2011. Peter says, "The guitar has been a great addition to the show, and it is completely different than any of my other instruments. I'm enjoying the coil taps in that I often use them for Rhythm to solo switches, bringing in the full humbuckers for more sustain and volume. Our guitar tech Doug Breidenbach, who has worked with Steven Stills and a tons of others was commenting on the nice work you've done. I'll take a few photos and along the way try to send you something when I record with it. Many thanks for your excellent work. "

Lee Ranaldo

Lee Ranaldo

  • Lee in the Studio with his Jarrell JZH-1x
  • Lee Ranaldo is an artist, writer and is perhaps most well known as a member of Sonic Youth, the seminal genre defining rock band, now in its¡¯ 30th year. Aside from this long term commitment, recent live performances with partner Leah Singer, a project called sight unseen, have been large scale, multi-projection sound+ light events, with Lee performing suspended guitar phenomena and quadraphonic tapes. He is also currently working on a new solo record on which he is using a Jarrell JZH-1x.
  • ¡°I¡¯ve been playing a Jarrell JZH-1x semi-hollow electric for the last few months while working on the songs for my solo album. I really like the sound and play-ability of the guitar. So far I have been gravitating to the humbucker sounds (as they are most familiar to me) but I¡¯m starting to listen more to the split and parallel modes, and mix them up. Also, I¡¯m really enjoying the look of the guitar! Overall, I really like the unadorned natural finish, the cool sounds I¡¯m getting from it, and the workmanship is great. I¡¯m definitely looking forward to getting to know this guitar better, and taking it out on the road.¡± To find out more about Lee Ranaldo please visit his website at
